LOCATION data disclosure (required by Google Play)
Cootravir PH accesses, collects, uses and shares LOCATION data
(approximate location, precise location, and background location) for the
residential security patrol feature (“Soy Ronda” / guard round tracking).
Location may be collected even when the app is closed or not in use
while a patrol round is active. Location is not used for advertising.
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how
COOTRAVIR CTA. (“we”, “us”, “Cootravir”) accesses,
collects, uses, stores, shares and deletes personal and sensitive user
data through the mobile application Cootravir PH
(Android / iOS) and related services for residential community
(propiedad horizontal) management.
This policy is provided for Google Play’s
User Data requirements and for users of the app. It applies to
the app named Cootravir PH published by
COOTRAVIR CTA.

personales y sensibles a través de la aplicación Cootravir PH.
2. Data we access, collect, use and share
Cootravir PH may access, collect, use and share the following categories
of personal and sensitive user data:

We do not sell personal or sensitive user data. We do
not use LOCATION data for advertising.
3. LOCATION data disclosure (English — Google Play)
Summary statement (prominent disclosure wording)
Cootravir PH collects location data to enable residential security
patrol tracking (“Soy Ronda” / guard round) even when the app is
closed or not in use.
Location data is used only for security patrol tracking within the
residential community and for authorized administrators to review
patrol history, route maps and coverage reports. Location data is
not used to support advertising.
Background location

service for location while a patrol is active)
3.2 How LOCATION is collected
Only when a security guard (role: guarda) starts the
Soy Ronda feature and a patrol round is
in progress.
The app periodically records GPS points (typically about every
30 seconds) and may attach coordinates to QR checkpoint scans.
Collection may continue while the app is in the background or the
screen is off, so the patrol route remains complete during the
security service.
Location collection stops when the patrol is ended or the user signs
out.
3.3 How LOCATION is used
Record the guard’s patrol route inside the residential unit.
Support checkpoint verification context and administrative reports
(duration, coverage, stops).
Improve physical/security oversight of the community.
3.4 How LOCATION is shared
Shared with authorized administrators of the same
residential unit (history, map, reports).
Stored on Cootravir servers that host the Cootravir PH backend.
May be accessed by Cootravir technical staff only for support,
security or legal compliance.
Not sold; not shared with advertisers; not used for marketing
profiles.
3.5 User control
Users can grant or revoke location permissions in Android system
settings. Without location permission, the Soy Ronda GPS tracking
feature cannot operate as designed. Other app features that do not
require location may remain available according to the user’s role.

El usuario puede revocar el permiso de ubicación en los ajustes del
teléfono. Sin ese permiso, el tracking GPS de ronda no funcionará
correctamente.
5. Purposes of processing / Finalidades
Authenticate users and manage roles per residential unit.
Operate community features: visitors, messages, documents,
reservations, PQRS, news, pets, panic alerts, patrol rounds, etc.
Send push notifications related to community operations and safety.
Password recovery and operational emails from the app mailbox.
Security, fraud prevention, support and legal compliance.
Maintain and improve the technical service (HTTPS APIs).
6. Sharing / third parties
We may share data with:
Authorized users of the same residential unit
according to role (admin, guard, resident, etc.).
Service providers required to operate the app
(hosting, SMTP email, push notification services such as Google
Firebase Cloud Messaging / Apple Push Notification service), under
confidentiality and security obligations.
Authorities when required by applicable law.
Third-party SDKs used for core functionality (for example, Capacitor
plugins, push notifications, geolocation) process data only as needed
for the disclosed purposes. We do not allow sale of personal and
sensitive user data from the app.
7. Security / Manejo seguro de datos
Personal and sensitive user data in transit is protected using modern
cryptography (HTTPS / TLS).
Access to backend data is controlled by authentication and role-based
authorization per residential unit.
Passwords are stored hashed; temporary recovery passwords are sent
only to the registered email.
Users should protect their device and credentials. No method of
transmission or storage is 100% secure.
8. Retention and deletion / Conservación
Account and profile data are retained while the account / residential
relationship is active, and for additional periods required by law or
legitimate security/audit needs.
LOCATION points, checkpoints and evidence photos from patrol rounds
are retained as part of the residential unit’s operational history
for security oversight, subject to deletion requests and legal
retention exceptions described below.
When data must be retained for security, fraud prevention or legal
compliance after an account deletion request, we will inform the user
about the categories retained and the reason.
9. Account deletion / Eliminación de cuenta
Google Play requires apps that create accounts to offer account
deletion. Cootravir PH users may request deletion of their app account
and associated user data as follows:

Sign in to Cootravir PH.
Contact your residential unit administrator, or send a deletion
request from the account email to
ph@cootravir.app
with subject “Eliminar cuenta Cootravir PH”,
including your full name, ID number and residential unit.
Upon a verified deletion request, we delete the app account and
associated user data. Temporary deactivation or “freezing” alone is
not treated as deletion. Certain data may be retained
only when legally required (for example, tax/security obligations), as
disclosed to the requester.
10. User rights / Derechos
Under Colombian Law 1581 of 2012 and applicable rules, you may request
access, update, rectification, proof of authorization, and—when legally
permitted—deletion or revocation. You may also file complaints with the
Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio (SIC).
Device permissions (LOCATION, CAMERA, notifications, storage) can be
revoked in the operating system settings at any time.
11. Children / Menores
Cootravir PH is intended for adults authorized by a residential
community (residents, administrators, security staff). It is not
directed to children under 13 (nor under 18 for account management
without authorization). If you believe a minor provided data without
proper authorization, contact us to review deletion.
12. Changes / Cambios
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect product, legal or Google
Play policy changes. The “Last updated” date at the top shows the
current version. Continued use of the app after publication means you
acknowledge the updated policy. Material LOCATION practice changes will
be reflected here and in Play Console Data safety disclosures.
